Kathmandu, the sixtieth day

About animals,

If Nepalese people could see the relation, often a little too anthropomorphic, we take with our "critters" (come my little darling kitty, eat your dinner!); It is almost certain they would be very amused. The too many stray dogs are all walking tail down and if they happen to bark it will never be against a human being, that they would fear being stoned. The canine race perpetually healing from its chips and alopecia is pitiful to see. The cruel spectacle this morning of this baby monkey terrorized by a dog, and who had sought refuge on the legs of a child who rejected him each time before his pursuer, was difficult. Are these the real values, the rejection of possible help to promote natural selection? Only the cows seem to escape the law of contempt of the animal race, although they are often annoying pests, they remain a minimum respected and less than other battered.
If the mind organizes in a square way, the body tends to move in the curves. The mass of the audience of that public karate show after being confined to a square space bounded around the tatami, formed very soon a circle absorbing the officials and referees stands that were once distinct.
